Textile erosion protection
Various systems are used for erosion control in trench construction, depending on the application. As a rule, plastic geomembranes, invert blocks and, if necessary, in situ and shotcrete designs are used. TILTEX 9 is the erosion control alternative with respect to all conventional protection systems.
The laying or installation of the individual sheets can be carried out either manually or by means of a laying traverse. Immediately after laying, the covered surface is protected against erosion. The activation of the cement inlay can be done after laying by spraying with water, or delayed by natural precipitation.
TILTEX 9 is an innovative flexible textile concrete mat that can be installed quickly and easily. Fixing with ground nails is optional, but not mandatory as long as TILTEX 9 is installed horizontally.
Typical applications include surface erosion control in open pit mines for surface water drainage, lining of all types of trenches and excavation protection as an alternative to sheeting, shotcrete, etc.
