Stabilization and rehabilitation
The port of Leer has an important role in supplying various markets in the northwest German. At the same time, is connected to the European transport network.
In the immediate vicinity of the sea lock is the NEH Quay (quayside), which required a renovation, as a sufficient stability of the slope reinforcement was no longer ensured.
Until the final renovation, a concept of temporary solution was needed. Traditional concrete construction was rejected for weight reasons, as this would have increased the static loads on the sheet piles.
TILTEX 9 was chosen as an alternative solution, because was relatively lightweight and mechanically extremely robust, as the ideal product for this application, because installation did not require heavy construction.
TILTEX can be used as a protective layer, for example, as an alternative to shotcrete. Is an extremely robust textile-reinforced concrete mat that can be adapted in a variety of ways to meet specific requirements.
TILTEX is a modular product and can be adapted to the specific requirements of the structure in terms of equipment with different nonwoven layers, sand-cement filling and various combinations with foils or fabrics.
Ones of TILTEX advantages are quick and easy installation, cost-effective processing, supplied in different roll widths 1.25 m – 2.50 m – 5.00 m, low transport costs, high internal shear strength until full activation/curing, and protects against erosion even before it is activated.
Application examples: railway, road, and hydraulic engineering, storage and stormwater retention basins, bank and slope stabilization.
