Control erosion in the bioreactor project

TILTEX 7P was chosen over 100 mm thick concrete to replace concrete drains within Sydney Water's Advanced Water Recycling Center (AWRC).  3 200 m² of TILTEX 7P was laid within the gullies and drains to control erosion in the bioreactor project.

TILTEX was the preferred product over other erosion control alternatives because it does not require any maintenance and uses 86 % less concrete than 100 mm concrete. TILTEX 7P's 80 MPa compressive strength and 5 m wide by 20 m long rolls provided quick installation, cost savings and reduced material requirements, while achieving higher quality erosion control.

Fast installation was important, as the work was carried out adjacent to critical access roads, where minimising disruption was essential.
