Erosion protection layer

In the area of open-cast mining United Schleenhain Tagesanlagen, TILTEX 10 was used as an erosion protection layer. Until the installation of TILTEX, surface water had been drained in open, partially unpaved ditches, up to the transition of the storm water drainage system. This meant that a great deal of sand was carried out, as well as high maintenance costs of the sewer system.

As a solution, a concept with sand traps and connected sedimentation tanks was created. The bottom of the pool was attached as a mechanically stable protective layer against damage and as an erosion protection.

The application spectrum ranges from applications in roads, ditches and hydraulic engineering for the construction of storage and rainwater retention basins. In combination with a laminated HDPE membrane, an absolutely tight and mechanically stable seal can be created in one installation process.
