Erosion protection layer

In the area of open-cast mining United Schleenhain Tagesanlagen, TILTEX 10 was used as an erosion protection layer. Up till now, surface water has been drained in open,
partially unpaved ditches. This means that, great deal of sand was carried out, as well as high costs of maintenance of the sewer system.

As a solution, a concept with sand traps and connected sedimentation tanks was created. Tiltex was used at the bottom of the pool as well as embankments, which provided a mechanically stable protective layer against damage and as an erosion protection.

The application spectrum ranges from applications in roads, ditches and hydraulic engineering for the construction of storage and rainwater retention basins. In combination with
a laminated HDPE membrane, an absolutely water-tight and mechanically stable seal can be created in one installation process.
