Culvert pipe repair

In Ohio, repair of a long (18 m) culvert was scheduled. A multi-plate pipe made of 8 guage corrugated and galvanized steel was installed approximately 30 years ago. It had thinned for years due to water and sediment flow. TILTEX 7 was selected to repair, protect and extend the life of the pipe while minimizing disruption to traffic from the adjacent highway during installation. TILTEX 7's ease of installation and ability to mold well to the pipe corrugations during the hydration process improved the strength of the pipe. Tar was applied and sealed the top edges before TILTEX 7 was hydrated. As TILTEX can be installed and subsequently cured in water, the pipe was returned to service immediately after completion of the installation.
