Floodwater damage in Northern Territory

Floodwater from storm cells and wet season events in the Northern Territory can lead to road infrastructure damage that service Australian Defence operations and civilian road access.
Australia’s TILTEX 12 P enhanced GCCM was approved by Defence to be fixed to the road concrete pavement surface and adjacent ground on the upstream and downstream side. TILTEX 12P’s purpose was to protect the road concrete pavement from floodwater scouring and erosion to minimize damage, loss of road access and subsequent rectification costs. TILTEX 12 P 80 MPa Compressive Strength and 16.1MPa* Flexural Strength properties provided the quality GCCM protection that Defence required.
